Yes, I know. I don't know why I didn't keep up, but whatever. Here I am, and I probably won't again, at least for a while. But soon ... soon this blog will be a good way to keep up with my American "family" -- both literal and in the "it takes a village" sense. For you see, dear reader(s) (as if. Yes, a new adventure is going to begin very, very soon! And while I am excited, I still struggle with the fact that really, we couldn't get much farther from "home." And I'm going to miss home. I've lived in the DC area for 14 years now! 14! I went to law school here, met my husband here, had my babies here, bought 2 houses here. This is home. And we're going so, so far away.
But, the adventure that awaits is sure to be awesome. I can't wait to roam the orchid gardens, visit Indonesia & Australia & New Zealand, go on the Night Safari, and (maybe) go on a 55 story ferris wheel. I'm so excited for the kids to have an amazing school experience. But I am still going to miss home. Stay tuned ;)
